MAN TO MAN (2023)

The problem is we find it hard to speak to our old man. Unfortunately generational differences can put us in uncomfortable grounds with the people we love so dear.

The spectrums of masculinity can affect father and son relationships as well as generational indifferences. So we thought let’s do a film that allows a perfect ice breaker when you need to talk to your dad during hard times.

A universal problem being addressed in a boxing ring, instead of fists being thrown, words are punching through the ring. BAFTA-BIFA Qualified Short Film.

The Journey After Film

I could tell you about us shaking in our boots as we waited for David to arrive. How when he entered we pitched our heart and soul to him. How he sat there (poker face on). Didn’t say a word. Then said. “Are you finished?” We all gulped. Then said “I’M IN!” AND WE ALL CHEERED. But that’s not enough to write on my site… So let’s talk about the aftermath. After producing this short film we went back to back winning film festivals all around the world. Paris, Sydney, Rhode Island, you name it! For my first time producing film it felt amazing that our care and passion rubbed off on the audiences.

Now sitting on 40k views online, the highlight of the journey was Croydon to Hollywood. We got selected to Pan African Film Festival in LA and got to send off our Actor and writer to LA to see the festival. We’ve been BAFTA & BIFA Qualified as well as have had screenings all around the world. Not bad for a first Eh!
